Biography

Liz Hand is head of a large and successful art department in a leading secondary school. The department consistently produces outstanding results at both GCSE and A-level and recently received the accolade of being designated the best school for fine art for boys by the Good Schools Guide. In 2007 the department won the Drawing Inspirations Award as part of the national Big Draw. As co-ordinator for the creative and performing arts, Liz initiates collaborative projects between the art, music, dance and drama departments and develops links with professional artists and performers. Liz was also a chief examiner for a leading examination board for 12 years and has extensive experience as an INSET trainer and art education consultant.
