Student One-Day Conferences
Philip Allan Updates provide the most comprehensive programme of student days available.
The aim of our student days is to bring together senior examiners and leading academics to give students and their teachers an exciting, stimulating and useful day.
We offer two types of student days – revision days and interest conferences.
Our
revision days
are planned by experienced senior examiners and are generally exam-specific, giving practical advice to students on a range of key topics.
Our
interest conferences
are designed to widen the appeal of the subject and are addressed by expert speakers including leading academics, politicians, business leaders and social commentators.
All our student days are held at conveniently located venues across the country. The lecture-style presentations are delivered to students in large auditoriums and are conducted in an atmosphere conducive to learning. Every student is provided with a programme outlining the day and, for most conferences, a comprehensive booklet of notes to accompany the lectures. Each event is staffed by experienced representatives from Philip Allan Updates who will be happy to help you with any queries.
Reasons for our Success:
Excellent speakers including Chief and Principal Examiners, leading academics, authors and well-known figures.
Relevant and focused events founded on careful planning and preparation.
Constant evaluation which keeps us in touch with what teachers think – our events evolve from year to year.
Lively presentations designed to capture student interest.
The notes provided for students are unrivalled in detail, clarity and quality of presentation.
Places can be provisionally booked and then subsequently confirmed by payment. On confirmation of payment - tickets, venue details, directions and further details about the day are normally dispatched two weeks before the date of the conference. As, with all our events, places are on a ‘first come first served’ basis and our advice is to pay for your places as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
To provisionally book some places, couldn’t be easier – either telephone our Bookings Department on 01706 831002 who will be happy to assist and advise you, fax a booking form (found on the reverse of our brochures), email your requirements
