Professor Tim Harrison

Key speaker for Chemistry


Biography

Tim Harrison is the first School Teacher Fellow at Bristol ChemLabS where he is also engaged in directing their science outreach programme.
He was awarded an inaugural Hawksbee Award from the Royal Society; the Secondary Education Teaching Award from the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2005; and the 2007 University of Bristol's Engagement Award for his services to education in science.

At the Chemistry Student Interest Day on 25 November [click here for details...], Bristol University’s Tim Harrison will share his 25 years of teaching experience and passion for chemistry with the explosive demonstration "A Pollutants Tale". Tim creates an exciting show exploring the unique composition of the Earth and its atmosphere, and demonstrates through interactive experiments the effect of our everyday lives on the environment.
